Baby Shower Our Lady of Grace School Spiritual Adoption

May 29 2014 the Spiritual Adoption Program at Our Lady of Grace Catholic School culminated with a Baby Shower. The Students families so generously filled the crib to overflowing with new baby necessities which are now in the process of being distributed to needy newborns and their families via the Sacramento Life Center and the Bishop Gallegos Maternity Home. The Respect Life ministry at our Lady of Grace Parish is overwhelmed with the loving response and wishes to express their appreciation to Fr. Ho our pastor,  principal Mr Rucker and the teachers and staff of the school for embracing the Spiritual Adoption program. Thank you!! and may our Lord continue to bless the newborns,  spiritually adopted, and their families and the students, families and school members whose prayers have uplifted precarious new life to birth.

AMBER’S DREAMS

Amber’s Dreams – By Bryan Kemper (I wrote this 22 years ago, it’s a shame we are still fighting this)

Little Amber in pig tails

Skipping rope in the sun
Playing in the meadows
Running through the fieldsSupport-Obama-AHA Genocide Awareness Project, Center for Bioethical Reform, Barack Obama, Abortion 6-thumb-500x225-6990

Lemonade Stand on the corner
Barbies all dressed up
Little dolly in her arms
Amber’s dreaming of future plans

Little Amber growing up
Starting Jr. High School
Giggling with her friends
Talking on the phone
Passing notes in English class
Starting to notice boys
Baby-sitting on weekends
Amber’s dreaming of future plans

Little Amber in her dress
Prom is coming soon
She looked so beautiful
As she stood daydreaming
High school almost over
Maybe someday marriage
Amber’s dreaming of future plans

Little Amber all in tears
She’d made a grave mistake
She listened to their lies
And taken their advice
Her heart ripped in pieces
Childhood dreams destroyed
They killed her baby today
Amber’s dream is in a garbage can

Both CA abortion expansion bills, AB 154 and AB 980, passed the Assembly and now move to the Senate.  Thank you very much for all of your calls!  Our effort to defend LIFE continues!
I will be away from my computer for several weeks and the effort to OPPOSE these two abortion bills is extremely critical!  Please email Gneal or call her at 916-759-1221 if you would like to participate in the legislative process, as she will be leading this effort. If you have questions about our life-affirming presence at 1750 Wright Street, Mon-Fri 9:00-11:00 am, please contact Susan by email or call her at 530-320-1614.

Reporter Peggy Bengs

As expected with a pro-abortion Democrat California Capitol majority, both of these abortion bills passed the state Assembly and will now go to the state Senate.  We persevere, pray, serve, and never give up in defending life, the Least of His, made in His image.   The historic vote made LifeNews

Your calls did make a difference!

Below I will describe what can happen when a community makes a serious effort to defend LIFE! Just think if people had done this in each of the Assembly Districts statewide! May we commit ourselves to more actively defend life as these two bills now move to the Senate.  In the meantime, please make these important follow-up phone calls, so that the politicians know you were paying attention to their vote on these abortion bills.  You can print out this list by clicking here.

Assemblymember Ken Cooley represents Sacramento.  Pro-life residents in his District made hundreds of calls, met with his staff, visited his Capitol and District offices, even spoke with him directly at “Community Coffees” where he encourages constituents to “Drop by to say hello and discuss state and legislative issues.”   As a result, Assemblymember Cooley was one of the very few Democrats who did NOT vote for AB 154, the bill to allow non-physicians to perform abortions!  Therefore, please call his office at 916-319-2008 and thank him for NOT supporting AB 154!

The following Assemblymembers voted to support these two abortion bills. AB 154 and AB 980  Please call these Assemblymembers and convey your very strong DISAPPOINTMENT in their vote!  If these politicians never hear from you about their pro-abortion voting record, they will just keep voting the same way.  They need to hear from you!

Assemblymember REPUBLICAN Travis Allen from southern California was the ONLY Republican to abstain from defending LIFE on both AB 154 and AB 980!  Please call his office at 916-319-2072 to express your disappointment on his “remaining neutral” on the issue of abortion.   He should have voted NO on AB 154 and AB 980 to defend life, rather than abstain.

Assemblymember Jim Frazier from Fairfield: 916-319-2011- Where was the Church in Fairfield regarding these two critically important abortion bills?  Why didn’t Assemblymember Frazier hear from enough of you before he made these pro-abortion votes? Please call him today to express your disappointment!
Assemblymember Mariko Yamada from Woodland, Napa, Davis: 916-319-2004- Again, where was the Church in these communities?  Did enough people speak up to defend life?  By our silence, we are complicit in these pro-abortion votes.
Assemblymember Roger Dickinson from Sacramento.  He celebrated 40 year of abortion at 1750 Wright Street and authored restrictions against Sidewalk Counseling there at Wright Street!  Sacramento, he is your representative.   He needs to hear from EVERYONE!  Please call his office to say how disappointed you are in his pro-abortion support of AB 980 and AB 154, as he put abortion industry profits above the health and safety of women.
Richard Pan from Sacramento, author of AB 980!  916-319-2009 Dr Pan represents Sacramento and yet he has voted egregiously pro-abortion.  He even authored AB 980, to allow the abortion industry to use substandard buildings as clinics.  He needs to hear from YOU as his bill will now go to the Senate. Tell him that as a Pediatrician, he should be protecting life, not promoting abortion.

Wynnette says “Your calls are working! In the recent vote on AB 980, Republicans defended life! Due to your calls, five Democrats abstained from voting and ONE Democrat even voted pro-life!

Sacramento Pro-life News May 27th, 2013

Your calls are working! Call these KEY Democrats Tuesday, urging a NO vote on abortion!

Your calls are working! In the recent vote on AB 980, Republicans defended life! Due to your calls, five Democrats abstained from voting and ONE Democrat even voted pro-life! Unfortunately, 47 Democrats still voted for abortion bill AB 980, to allow substandard building codes for abortion clinics.

We need just seven more Democrats to vote NO on abortion bill AB 154!! Reporter Peggy Bengs wrote an outstanding article on these two abortion bills.

This week the CA Assembly will be voting on AB 154 to allow non-physicians to perform abortions! Please make these critical calls to Democrat offices, urging them to VOTE NO on AB 154!

This Saturday is the Showers on Wheels Baby Shower (see details below) and Sunday Our Lady of the Assumption Parish is hosting a spectacular Respect Life Faire from 8:00 am-1:00 pm. Everyone is invited- please email me if you can help with the 40 Days for Life table!

Memorial Day blessings to each of you. As we remember our brave soldiers who gave their lives to defend our freedoms, let us dedicate 30 minutes of our time to defend the lives of women and children from abortion by making these critically important calls tomorrow,Tuesday! If you would like to print out these important numbers and instructions, click here. Read reporter Peggy Bengs’

excellent summary of these two bills here.

We have been working day and night this past month to OPPOSE these two historic abortion expansion bills, AB 980, voted on last week to allow abortions to be done in substandard building conditions, and OPPOSING AB 154, which will be voted on this week to allow non-physicians to perform abortions. See a complete report of the AB 980 vote here and watch the historic video of the vote here (vote on AB 980 begins at 21:05)

But the politicians won’t listen to anything we have to say, unless they hear from YOU, the voters throughout the state!

Please make these calls! The vote on AB 154 to allow non-physicians (nurses, midwives, and physician assistants) to perform abortions will probably take place on Wednesday of this week, so please make these calls tomorrow, Tuesday! By your calls, you can be a part of history in opposing abortion in CA! Even if you have called previously, please call these Assemblymembers Tuesday!

All you have to do is say, “Please put the safety of women first, rather than the profits of the abortion industry. Vote NO on AB 154”. In the Assembly, there are 53 Democrats, 25 pro-life Republicans, and 2 vacancies. The abortion industry needs 41 “Yes” votes to pass these bills, so we need 13 Democrats to either vote No or abstain from voting. If you know people in these areas, please urge them to call also, so that these Democrats also hear from their own constituents to vote NO on these abortion expansion bills! Each call takes about 1 minute, so in less than 30 minutes, you can be a part of history! If you would like to print out these numbers and instructions, click here.

Please call all of these Democrats to vote NO on AB 154!

Ken Cooley from Sacramento: 916-319-2008- very important! This local Sacramento Assemblymember voted FOR ABORTION last week, but may change his mind, if enough of you call him and urge a NO vote on AB 154!

Steve Fox from Lancaster: 916-319-2036- Your calls made a difference last week as Mr. Fox abstained from voting on abortion bill AB 980! Call him to ask that he also OPPOSE AB 154!

Rudy Salas from Hanford: 916-319-2032- Your calls made a HUGE difference, as Mr. Salas was the ONLY DEMOCRAT to actually vote NO on AB 980. Please call him, thank him, and ask that he also vote NO on AB 154!

Adam Gray from Merced: 916-319-2021- He voted for abortion last week, but he is from a pro-life District. If he hears from enough of you, he may change his mind!

Henry Perea from Fresno: 916-319-2031- He voted for abortion last week, but he is from a pro-life District. If he hears from enough of you, he may change his mind!

Sharon Quirk-Silva from Fullerton: 916-319-2065. She voted FOR abortion last week, but she barely won her last election, so if she hears from enough of you, she may change her mind. Urge her to vote NO on AB 154!

Jim Frazier from Fairfield: 916-319-2011- Everyone needs to call him, especially people from the Fairfield area, NO on AB 154!

Mariko Yamada from Woodland: 916-319-2004- Everyone needs to call her, especially people from the Woodland area!

Roger Dickinson from Sacramento: 916-319-2007 He celebrated 40 year of abortion at 1750 Wright Street and authored the restrictions against Sidewalk Counseling there at Wright Street! Sacramento, he is your representative, please do not remain silent! He needs to hear from EVERYONE!

Richard Pan from Sacramento, authoring AB 980! 916-319-2009 Dr Pan represents Sacramento and yet he has voted egregiously pro-abortion. He needs to hear from YOU Tuesday! Tell him to vote NO on AB 154!

We need 13 Democrats to vote NO on AB 154 or refrain from voting, so if you have time, please also make these important calls, urging a NO vote on AB 154, putting the health and safety of women above the abortion industry profits!

Choice Medical Group a late-term abortion clinic chain with SIX locations along the I-80 corridor, CLOSED! Their Sacramento location at 2322 Butano Drive (across from Gottschalks near Watt/ElCamino) CLOSED last week, along with Fremont and San Jose, while their San Francisco location closed in March, after 40 years of “business”. Their Concord and Salinas locations had already closed, so through your prayers and the grace of God, an entire abortion chain has gone completely out of business!

When a Choice Medical representative was asked about the reason for closing, she responded, “We just didn’t have enough patients.” Thank you Lord! This business specialized in abortions through six months of pregnancy, charging up to $3,000 for a 24 week “termination”! We had our Sacramento 40 Days for Life at the Butano facility in 2008 and 2009, resulting in over 32 babies saved that we know about! The babies saved from abortion at Butano

For all the babies lost to abortion, we continue our prayers, now focused at 1750 Wright Street.  are now 4-5 years old! The most well known baby saved at this location is beautiful special-needs little girl Khya, with whom we celebrated her 2nd birthday just a few weeks ago! Watch Khya’s story here.

Your prayerful presence makes such a difference, helping Moms with loving support as they are making an important life-ending and life-changing decision. Praise the Lord for closing the Butano clinic last week and the late-term abortion business at 53rd/F Street earlier this year, while we continue our prayers at 1750 Wright Street Monday-Friday mornings, from 9:00 am to 11:00 am, hoping to help more Mothers choose LIFE, praying for the conversion of more clinic workers, and the closure of these abortion businesses. Read what one of the abortion clinic escorts recently wrote about her experience there at the Sidewalk, filled with half-truths and misinformation yet she was able to get it published in her on-campus newspaper. Are we writing our own Letters to our own local newspapers??

Sign up at the on-line Petition Drive to OPPOSE AB 154, the historic abortion expansion effort to allow non-physicians to perform abortions!
Wake up America!  Wake up California!  May the church arise to actively OPPOSE these abortion expansion bills, AB 154 and AB 980!  Why do we allow the unions and the abortion industry to be the most powerful political influences, while the church has been largely silent in defense of LIFE? I hope the following video might awaken us from our slumber!   Every Pastor and every Priest needs to be leading the flock to defend LIFE, as abortion is THE MOST IMPORTANT Civil Rights issue of our generation!  Don’t presume that “someone else” is doing what each of us should and must be doing to defend the Least of His made in His image.  Please include this information in your church  bulletin, encouraging your church members to call their Assemblymembers (and include the phone numbers of Assemblymembers from your area).  Most importantly, pray for an “End to Abortion”, opposing both AB 154 and AB 980!
I hope this video shows you what is at stake when we remain silent.
Abortion clinic worker on babies born alive,
Abortion clinic workers describe what they experienced.  Please stand up and be a voice for LIFE!  May the Church awaken to this atrocity and fill the Capitol in OPPOSITION to Abortion Expansion AB 154 and AB 980!

Praise the Lord for closing the Butano clinic last week and the late-term abortion business at 53rd/F Street earlier this year, while we continue our prayers at 1750 Wright Street MondayFriday mornings, from 9:00 am to 11:00 am, hoping to help more Mothers choose LIFE, praying for the conversion of more clinic workers, and the closure of these abortion businesses.   Read what one of the abortion clinic escorts recently wrote about her experience there at the Sidewalk, filled with half-truths and misinformation yet she was able to get it published in her on-campus newspaper.  Are we writing our own Letters to our own local newspapers??

WOW! Your calls are really making a difference!. Please re-double your calls to the offices listed below and join us at the Capitol on Wednesday May 15 at 9:00 am in Room 4202 for the vote!

Nurses and midwives should care for babies, not participate in abortions!WOW!  Your calls are really making a difference! For a thorough report on your impact, read Gneal’s summary.  Please re-double your calls to the offices listed below and join us at the Capitol on Wednesday at 9:00 am in Room 4202 for the vote!  AB 154 would expand abortions to non-physicians, allowing nurses, midwives, and physician-assistants to do abortions.  Typically, CA Democrat politicians vote in favor of abortion and Republicans vote to defend life, so our focus needs to be on these Democrat Assembly Appropriations Committee members. If you are interested in participating in Democrat office visits on Wednesday,  please email me (wynette) so that I can make sure you have all the details.  If you live in these Districts across the state, please visit the Assemblymember’s home office close to you today!

ACTION ALERT: Call these Democrats today and Tuesday, telling them to “Put women first, rather than abortion industry profits, vote NO on AB 154 and AB 980”. (AB 980 is another pro-abortion bill authored by local Assemblymember Pan to allow abortion clinics to use substandard buildings codes!)  Even if you have already called previously, call these offices AGAIN!

Mike Gatto 916-319-2043, Chairman Appropriations Committee.

Dr. Richard Pan  916-319-2009, Sacramento. MAKE SURE YOU CALL HIM TO VOTE NO ON AB 154 AND AB 980!

Local Sacramento Democrat Assembly member Pediatrician Richard Pan is sponsoring AB 980, which seeks to change the state Building Code to allow the abortion industry to use substandard plumbing and ventilation building codes. Call him today at (916) 319-2009 to OPPOSE AB 980! Why should Sacramento Assemblymember Democrat Richard Pan make special exemptions for the abortion industry?  Here is an excerpt from the abortion industry’s egregious justification to lower the building standards for abortion clinics:

“The risk of infection from taking a pill for a cold is no different from taking one to induce an abortion.  Similarly, there is no different [s

ic] in the possibility of infection between an aspiration abortion and other procedures that are regularly done in primary care clinics, such as insertion of an intrauterine device or endometrial biopsy.  There is almost no risk

of infection from either medication or aspiration abortion, and the rate of post-abortion infection are extremely rare, even in a high-risk population.”

Gosnell Attorney Blames Media, “Baby Factor” For Conviction

Philadelphia, PA | 5/13/13 5:08 PM

Kermit Gosnell’s attorney Jack McMahon is curiously blaming the media for today’s conviction of the abortion practitioner on three counts of murder related to abortion-infanticides.

Gosnell: Crazy or Logical?

By Fr. Frank Pavone

The details coming from the trial of abortion provider Dr. Kermit Gosnell in Philadelphia are brutal and disturbing. Not only is he charged with killing a woman who came for an abortion, but also for the murder of seven children already born alive, whom, according to the Grand Jury Report, he killed by severing their spinal cord. (Report of the Grand Jury, Court of Common Pleas, First Judicial District of Pennsylvania, Criminal Trial Division, MISC. NO. 0009901-2008, January 14, 2011).

Now I’m not saying anyone is responsible for Gosnell’s actions other than Gosnell. But I am suggesting that a certain climate, and a certain set of presumptions, has been created by our current public policy on abortion, and the arguments made to justify it, and that if we are horrified by what Gosnell did to these babies, we have to examine what that connection might be.

Statistics from the Guttmacher Institute show that some 18,150 abortions per year in the United States occur legally at 21 weeks of pregnancy and beyond (guttmacher.org/pubs/fb_induced_abortion.html). These are babies the size of a large banana.

One of the most memorable conversations I ever had was with abortion provider Dr. Martin Haskell of Ohio, who performs abortions in the latest stages of pregnancy. I asked him how he justified doing such a thing. He told me, “I don’t know when the child receives a soul.”

Recall also what late term abortionist Dr. James McMahon once said: “After 20 weeks where it frankly is a child to me, I really agonize over it. … On the other hand, I have another position, which I think is superior in the hierarchy of questions, and that is: ‘Who owns the child?’ It’s got to be the mother.” (Interview with American Medical News, July 5, 1993).

Notice that we are not hearing an argument here that denies these children to be living human babies, but rather that there is such a thing as a baby who does not deserve protection of the law. It seems to me this dichotomy starts with the dual assertion in Roe vs. Wade that, on the one hand, “We need not resolve the difficult question of when life begins” [410 U.S. 113, 159], yet on the other, “the word ‘person,’ as used in the Fourteenth Amendment, does not include the unborn” [410 U.S. 113, 158].

So some humans don’t have to be considered persons. The difficulty, of course, is drawing a clear line and having a clear rationale for that line. And we have all kinds of evidence of how dangerously flexible that line can be.

The State of Florida is working to pass a bill that would protect babies after they are born as a result of a failed abortion attempt. We already have this law on the federal level. It’s the “Born-Alive Infants Protection Act.”  As part of the legislative testimony for the Florida bill, a Planned Parenthood lobbyist named Alisa LaPolt Snow testified at the end of March, and was asked this question: “If a baby is born on a table as a result of a botched abortion, what would Planned Parenthood want to have happen to that child that is struggling for life?” She responded, “We believe that any decision that’s made should be left up to the woman, her family, and the physician.” (Weeklystandard.com/blogs/video-planned-parenthood-official-argues-right-post-birth-abortion_712198.html).

And about a year earlier, the Journal of Medical Ethics published an article by Alberto Giubilini and Francesca Minerva entitled, “After-birth abortion: why should the baby live?” (February 23, 2012). The authors state, “The moral status of an infant is equivalent to that of a fetus in the sense that both lack those properties that justify the attribution of a right to life to an individual.”

As the authors admit, the assertion is not new. Controversial ethicist Peter Singer said long ago: “[T]he location of the baby inside or outside the womb cannot make such a crucial moral difference” (“On Letting Handicapped Babies Die”), and that to be consistent, there are “only two possibilities,” namely, “oppose abortion, or allow infanticide” (Rethinking Life and Death, p.210).

In recent years, federal legislation is attempting to put the brakes on the endorsement of infanticide, as witnessed by the above-mentioned “Born-Alive Infants Protection Act,” signed into law in 2002, and the “Partial-Birth Abortion Ban,” signed into law in 2003 and upheld by the Supreme Court in 2007.

But “it’s the law” is not a sufficient argument to resolve the underlying dangerous tension created by allowing children to be killed at certain stages for rationales that no longer apply to the same children at later stages.

Kermit Gosnell is on trial in Philadelphia for “snipping” the spinal cords of babies scheduled to be aborted but actually born alive in his abortion clinic. Is he just crazy, or is he simply following the logic of an industry based on the assertion that the mother’s choice overrides any right to protection that the baby has?

Advised to abort, mother of quadruplets says, “I told him that we were keeping all four of them”

4boys“Now she has all the proof she needed that her instinct was right,” writes Luke Salkeld of a British publication, The Daily Mail. “[F]our happy, healthy and utterly adorable one-year-olds.” Zachary, Joshua, Reuben and Sam celebrated their crowded birthday Saturday.

This story is all about utter determination and steely resolution but also about odds. The boys were conceived naturally. Odds on that? 750,000 to one!

Born on February 29? Odds of that are 3.5 million to one (meaning the brothers will have a “true” birthday only once every four years). Continue reading
